How Therapy Can Help
Our team of experienced therapists is equipped with specialized training to effectively address a broad spectrum of neurodivergent needs.
Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD):
Therapy for individuals with ASD focuses on enhancing communication skills, social interaction, and behaviour management. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, sensory integration and social skills training are common approaches used to help individuals with ASD thrive and reach their full potential.
Learning Disabilities:
Therapy for individuals with learning disabilities, can integrate a skills-based approach by assessing strengths and weaknesses, setting SMART goals, and designing sessions focused on specific skill-building activities tailored to the individual's needs. Our therapists can also collaborate with school and home environments, monitoring progress, and fostering empowerment and self-advocacy.
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD):
Therapy for ADHD often includes cognitive-behavioral strategies to improve focus, organization, and time management. Additionally, therapy can address emotional regulation, self-esteem, and interpersonal relationships, helping individuals with ADHD develop coping skills and succeed in various aspects of life.
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD):
Therapy for OCD typically involves Cognitive-Behavioural Techniques to challenge and modify obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviours. Our therapists can also integrate mindfulness techniques into treatment through Acceptance and Commitment Therapy or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
