What is Clinical Supervison?

Clinical supervision in therapy is a structured process where I aim to provide guidance, support, and feedback. This relationship fosters a safe space for discussing a wide range of topics, including therapeutic techniques, ethical challenges, case conceptualization, and professional development. The primary goal of clinical supervision is to enhance the supervisee's clinical skills, ensuring they provide effective and ethical care to their clients. It also promotes personal growth and professional confidence, enabling therapists to reflect on their practice, address any challenges, and continually improve their competency.

I provide both individual ($180: 60 minutes) and dyadic supervision ($90: 60 minutes).

Your Clinical Supervisor

Hello! My name is Rania, I am a Registered Psychotherapist by the College of Registered Psychotherapist of Ontario and the Clinic Founder & Director of Blissful Balance Counselling. I earned my Masters in Counselling and Spirituality from Saint Paul University and  undergraduate degree from Carleton University.

My model of therapy supervision is collaborative and integrative, focusing on fostering the professional growth and competence of supervisees. I blend elements from various therapeutic approaches, primarily drawing from psychodynamic and holistic models. I also include Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Systems Theory, to tailor supervision to the unique needs of each supervisee.

Emphasizing open communication and reflective practice, I provide constructive feedback, support ethical decision-making, and encourage the development of clinical skills. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where supervisees can explore their professional challenges, enhance their therapeutic techniques, and ensure high-quality care for their clients.

Clinical Supervision Services

Individual Supervision

Individual supervision involves one-on-one sessions between a therapist and a supervisor, focusing on the therapist's clinical skills, case management, and professional development. This personalized approach allows for in-depth discussion of specific cases and challenges, providing tailored guidance and support.

Consultation

Fully licensed professionals may also reach out for consultation services.

Consultation services are $180 an hour.

Dyadic Supervision

Dyadic supervision, on the other hand, involves two therapists being supervised together by a supervisor, fostering collaborative learning and peer feedback while still receiving individualized attention and support for their unique cases. This could be enriching as each therapist not only learns from the supervisor, but their peer as well!

A Supportive Therapeutic Relationship

As your supervisor, my goal is to foster your professional growth through supportive and non-judgmental guidance. We will focus on refining your case conceptualization and techniques while ensuring that our supervision provides a safe, supportive space for reflection and development.
